Eberechi Eze posted pictures on Instagram early on Wednesday of him standing outside his stadium in North London with his teammates Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber.
On Tuesday night, fans gathered outside the stadium and nearby pubs while rivals Manchester City played Bournemouth, needing a win to keep the title race alive.
As the full-time whistle blew on the south coast, cheers erupted in the pubs of North London as Arsenal fans celebrated a moment they thought would probably never come after recently winning the title.
Celebrations also took place at the Gunners’ training ground.
It was here that the Arsenal squad gathered for the evening and, like in pubs, there was a massive celebration at the final whistle. The players and staff danced and hugged while chanting, “Campeones, Campeones, Olé Olé Olé!”
Last month, Arsenal captain Declan Riceinsisted,g “it hasn’t happened” after the Gunners lost to Manchester City. But on Tuesday, with the title race decided, he shared a photo of the players celebrating on social media, with the caption: “It’s done.”
The title win came in Mikel Arteta’s seventh year in charge and underlined what can be achieved if a manager is given time.
“Mikel Arteta has been there for a long time. The best gift you can give a good manager is time,” former Premier League goalkeeper Paul Robinson told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“Yes, you can give them millions of pounds but you have to mould that money into a team, a dressing room, a winning team.
Do you give time to a good manager? Proof of that.”
