According to ESPN, Duncan’s motion states, “Based on the defendant’s treating physician, the recommendation for an out-of-country treatment facility is based on the defendant’s complex clinical presentation and urgent need for a level of care that cannot be safely or effectively provided within the United States, as his confidentiality has been repeatedly compromised.”

“Ongoing medical scrutiny and public exposure creates significant barriers to their care and will result in setbacks and an inability to fully engage in treatment.”

The motion comes a day after Woods issued a public statement and pleaded not guilty in a Florida court to misdemeanour charges of causing damage to property and refusing to submit to a urine test following a rollover accident in Jupiter, Florida, last Friday.

Tiger had to lose the role of captaincy

The PGA of America also announced Wednesday that Woods had withdrawn from consideration to serve as U.S. captain for the 2027 Ryder Cup.

The island of Kos is located about 20 kilometres (13 mi) from Bodrum. Other nearby islands include Kalymnos, Leros and Symi.
