“Welcome to the joke! Come in, come in!” said trainer Rachel Dennis as she greeted people coming out the door at the David Lloyd gym in Enfield, north London, recently.

“We’re going to play ‘Stuck in the Mud’,” she announced. Screams and laughter quickly filled the room as the tagged players froze like statues until others crawled through their legs to “free” them to run around again.

Kidulting fitness classes are all about channelling your inner child, and the atmosphere is fun, even silly.

“How’s the heart rate? Are we feeling a little warm?” Dennis asked as the pace increased.

At the David Lloyd Club in the UK, members can relive their younger years with classes built around playground and PE class games – an attempt to take the “work” out of workouts.

Pran Varatharajan celebrated when he grabbed another classmate’s leg and pushed him in a wheelbarrow race.

The pace is fast, and kids quickly move on to the next game.

He said, “There is absolutely no truth to any such suggestion. We have asked the MPS to provide us with the evidence they relied upon to justify the arrest.”

“Peter Mandelson’s overriding priority is to cooperate with the police investigation, as he has done throughout this process, and to clear his name.”

But nationally, the figures have barely budged from about one million incidents per year.

New data for 2024-2025, due out on Wednesday, shows the tide of waste is no closer to receding.

The figures are deemed incomplete, as they exclude instances involving private land, such as farms and National Trust estates. The data also shows that most cases do not result in fines or prosecution.

Local and central governments, according to Clean Up Britain campaigners, have not enforced the law or demonstrated their commitment to catching fly-tippers. He wants stronger enforcement and a maximum fine of £20,000.

Jaipur: UAE were the last team to qualify for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and made their mark before exiting in the group stage of the tournament. Making a comeback after missing out on the 2024 T20 edition of the tournament, the Muhammad Wasim-led side defeated Canada by five wickets and nearly upset top-ranked Afghanistan.

UAE performance analyst coach Manpreet Sidhu seems satisfied with his team’s T20 WC campaign.

“Overall, it was a productive campaign for us. We did well but could have done better with some luck. It was a learning curve for all the players. Competing against three Test-playing nations in the group stage was the most challenging experience for the team,” Manpreet told TOI on Tuesday. The former Madhya Pradesh junior cricketer has been with the UAE team since 2024.

“Barring captain Muhammad Wasim, Alishan Sharafu and Junaid Siddiqui, the remaining 12 members were playing their first T20 World Cup. Most of them had never played on such a big stage before. But the youngsters gave their hundred. Beating Canada was a magical moment,” added Manpreet.

The 42-year-old from Indore, who doubles up as a fielding coach whenever required, believes this T20 WC will do wonders. “My job is to provide the best input, including video footage of our players and the opposing team.

“Coordinating well with Lalchand Rajput (head coach) is key. As an ICC associate team, the UAE offers limited cricket opportunities. We only get white-ball tournaments. Most of our players play in leagues around the world and gain exposure,” said Manpreet.

NASA’s Chandra experts say it provides a rare glimpse of what the early Sun’s atmosphere might have looked like. And it’s not just a bubble. It has wings of dusty debris, giving it a “moth-like” shape. The discovery reportedly took decades of searching and precise imaging. Chandra’s X-ray vision, combined with infrared and optical data, allowed scientists to see the star and its surrounding bubbles in unprecedented detail. The astrosphere around HD 61005 is vast. Approximately 200 times the distance from Earth to the Sun. The winds coming from the star’s surface are three times stronger and 25 times denser than those of our Sun today. They blow hot gas into the surrounding space, creating a bubble shape. Scientists say it could also be like the heliosphere, the bubble that our Sun forms around itself. The dusty plumes trailing behind the star make it look like a moth, which is why astronomers have nicknamed it. Infrared data show that as the star rotates through space, material moves backward. It feels delicate but incredibly moving. This stellar object is almost a young star with personality.

Researchers uncover HD 61005’s astrosphere with Chandra’s X-ray imaging

Researchers have been exploring astrospheres around Sun-like stars since the 1990s. Chandra’s high-resolution X-ray imaging eventually made this possible. The proximity of HD 61005 and the dense interstellar matter surrounding it were important. The matter around it is about a thousand times more dense than that near the Sun. The team led by Casey Liese at Johns Hopkins University examined the star’s X-ray emissions. They could see where the stellar wind interacted with cold gas and dust. It’s reportedly a spectacular sight, with bright X-rays at the centre, plumes of infrared light extending outward, and a wide optical field of view showing nearby stars.
