A 28-year-old man was shot dead in North Philadelphia as he delivered pizza boxes inside a housing society.
The man has been identified as Anshul Kuncha, an Indian man. The shooting happened just after 12:30 a.m. Friday at the Ramon Rosen Homes housing complex on Edgeley Street in North Philadelphia.
After completing the delivery, Kuncha got shot in the head. The address where the delivery was made was actually a vacant unit.
But police found a phone number from where the order was placed and are working on this lead.”
He was lying unconscious on the ground, bleeding profusely from a gunshot wound to his head,” said Chief Inspector Scott Small of the Philadelphia Police Department. He was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
“By looking at the pizza boxes, we were able to identify the pizza shop,” Smalls said. It has now been confirmed that Kuncha worked for Pete’s Pizza.
At the scene, police recovered three shell casings just inches away from where the victim was found.
This is an indication that the shooter or shooters were standing very close to the victim,” Smalls said.
The victim’s vehicle was also found near the scene, with a pizza warmer still inside.
Inside the empty apartment, officers found three pizza boxes and a bag that appeared to be untouched, leading investigators to believe that the victim had successfully delivered the items before being shot outside.
Police said that surveillance cameras operated by the Philadelphia Housing Authority captured parts of the incident, but the shooting was not recorded on camera. But two people dressed in black chased the delivery person.
The footage showed that one of the men chasing the victim was seen carrying a black bag. No one is in custody, but police said they have some leads. “We have the phone number that the pizza delivery came from,” Smalls said.
Manchester United chief executive Ofer Omar Barrada has unveiled the club’s transfer plan for the summer window, which sees five new signings.

Manchester United CEO Omar Barrada has confirmed that the club is ready to replicate last summer’s transfer strategy by signing a mix of experienced Premier League players and stars from outside England.
United spent more than £200 million on four players during the 2025/26 summer transfer window. The Reds’ first piece of business was signing Matheus Cunha from Wolves in a £62.5 million deal before Bryan Mbeumo arrived from Brentford for £71 million. They then brought in Benjamin Sisko from RB Leipzig for £73m and Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp for £18m at the end.
As for United’s departures, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Andre Onana, Toby Collier, Ethan Wheatley, Harry Amas and Rasmus Hodglund were sent out on loan, while Alejandro Garnacho was sold to Chelsea for £40m and Antoni was sold to Real Betis for £21m. Victor Lindelof, Christian Eriksen and Jonny Evans all left the Reds at the end of their contracts.
Overall, it proved to be a successful transfer window for United, as the team eventually finished third in the Premier League and qualified for the Champions League after Michael Carrick took over mid-season. Cunha, Mbiomo, Cessco and Lemmons all impressed during their first campaign at Old Trafford, contributing to the Reds’ return to Europe’s elite competition.
And heading into another crucial summer for the club, United CEO Berada has claimed the Reds have a “clear plan” and are looking to mirror the success they achieved in the transfer market 12 months ago.
Speaking to United’s YouTube channel, Berada said: “I think we will replicate the template in many ways for what we did last summer.” You always go into a window not knowing how you’ll get out, but you have to be really prepared. You have to have a clear plan.
Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha have proved successful at Manchester United.
“You have to know what positions you want to strengthen. You must be ready for any situation, as unexpected exits and opportunities may arise in the market that weren’t there at the start of the window. Therefore, we have to be ready.
“We have to be agile and flexible, but we have a clear plan. Jason Wilcox and his team are very well prepared to execute that plan. And I think what we saw last season is a very positive way forward for us; that’s the combination of experience and youth we want.
“We want a mix of players who have proven themselves in the Premier League and maybe with players who are doing very well outside the Premier League. But we will always do it on our terms and make sure that any decision we make is not just for the short-term but also for the long-term.”
United are eyeing at least five new signings this summer. Atalanta midfielder Ederson is set to become the club’s first arrival after agreeing a £38m deal earlier this week.
As well, the Reds are interested in Real Madrid’s Orléans Chauminy, West Ham United star Matisse Fernandes and Carlos Bieleba at Brighton. Elliott Anderson has been linked, but Manchester City appear to be leading the race to sign the Nottingham Forest midfielder.
A striker is also on United’s radar, with the club already confirming that Hojlund has moved on a permanent deal this summer. Left-back is another position that has been discussed with Newcastle star Lewis Hall a potential target.
US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that talks with Iran are going “very well” and that Tehran has agreed to allow US personnel to enter Iran and recover buried nuclear material in coordination with Iranian officials after the war ends.
Trump told reporters at the White House. Despite recent attacks in the region,
Trump said the US-Iran ceasefire that took effect in early April remains in place, suggesting that an interim agreement could be reached “over the weekend” as talks move forward.”
The conversation itself has been very good – really, very good – and if it happens (it may or may not), it could be like a weekend.
Trump said. Trump claimed that Iranian officials “have changed their minds several times, but as things stand right now, we will go in at some point in the near future.”

In sharp contrast, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Wednesday that there has been “no concrete progress” in talks to end the Middle East war.
Communications with the Americans have not been cut, and messages have been exchanged about stopping aggression against Beirut, but there has been no concrete progress in negotiations.
The Tasnim news agency quoted Araghchi as saying this to Lebanon’s Al Mayadeen TV. Araghchi warned that any Israeli attack on Beirut would lead to a “full-scale resumption” of the conflict.”
Any attack on Beirut would have serious consequences and would lead to a full-scale resumption of war. If Israel attacks Beirut, our armed forces are ready to attack it.”
Iranian naval forces have also targeted the “command center” on a US destroyer in the Gulf of Oman in response to US “violations of the rules” of the Strait of Hormuz and its “hostile” actions against Iranian ships, state-owned IRIB TV reported on Wednesday.
A few minutes later, US Central Command denied the claim at X.
On Wednesday, US lawmakers dealt Trump a political setback when the House passed a resolution directing the withdrawal of US troops from the Iran war.
“This is a clear message to Donald Trump from the American people: It is time to end his deeply unpopular and illegal choice in Iran,” the Democrats posted on Twitter.
The Democratic Republic of Congo’s international friendly against Chile in Spain next week has been cancelled after officials raised health concerns over the Ebola outbreak in the African nation.
Juan Franco, mayor of the city of La Línea de la Concepcion, has signed a decree that prevents the June 9 event from proceeding as planned.
The decision was described as a “precautionary measure” and comes following recommendations from the Andalusian Regional Health Service and the municipality’s own medical department.
“A report by the head of the health service of the mayoralty of La Linea clearly advises against hosting the match given the health risks,” Franco said.
La Linea, a coastal resort with a population of about 65,000 people in Cadiz province, close to the Gibraltar border, was due to host the match as both countries continued their preparations for the World Cup.
DR Congo is currently based in Belgium after cancelling a planned pre-tournament training camp in the capital, Kinshasa, due to the Ebola outbreak in the east of the country.
BBC Sport understands that no DR Congo players –
who play for clubs outside the country have recently visited their homeland, but few support staff and fans have flown in from there.
DR Congo is scheduled to face Denmark in a friendly match in Liège on Wednesday.
The US public health agency has banned the entry of non-Americans who have been in the DR Congo, Uganda or South Sudan in the past 21 days, in response to the Ebola outbreak.
The outbreak in eastern DR Congo is caused by a rare strain of Ebola known as Bundibugyo.
There is currently no vaccine for this species and the World Health Organization has said that it could take up to nine months for a vaccine to be ready.
DR Congo plans to stay in Houston during the tournament and is scheduled to open their group campaign against Portugal on June 17, marking their first World Cup qualification since 1974.
They will then travel to the Mexican city of Guadalajara to face Colombia before returning to the United States to take on Uzbekistan in Atlanta.
Man United have suffered injury problems in defense this season, and the partnership that ends the 2026/27 campaign could look very different to the one that started.
Lenny Euro and Ayden Haven could form a long-term partnership at centre-back for Manchester United
Manchester United will go with five central defenders next season, but the pecking order could change dramatically at the end of the year in a campaign that will give them all opportunities.
United ended the season with Harry Maguire and Lesandro Martinez forming the preferred partnership of Michael Carrick. They started together when fit and offered a good combination of right-footed and left-footed, dribbler and passer, strong in the air and combative on deck.
But it’s easy to see that partnership breaking down at some point next season. Maguire is now 33 and Martinez has struggled with injury problems, never appearing in more than 27 Premier League games during his four-year spell at Old Trafford.
And it’s easy to forget that Matthijs de Ligt was the standout player in the early weeks of this season. He played every minute of the Premier League season until the end of November and then failed to overcome a back injury which ruled him out for the rest of the campaign.
De Ligt underwent surgery to correct the problem and although he will not be fit for the start of the season, he will be aiming for a place in the side when he returns to full training at Carrington.
Then there are the two youngsters and it will be worth watching their development as the season progresses. Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven started three games together last season, but United did not win any of them; both are regarded as exciting talents at Carrington.
Indeed, Euro, 20, and Heaven, 19, are so highly rated that Maguire, who has been a mentor to both of them, has told club staff they could be United’s own version of Arsenal’s title-winning central defensive partnership of Willem Saliba and Gabriel.
The pair have been the bedrock of Arsenal’s domestic success and arguably stand as the best partnership in the league. Maguire’s belief in the long-term potential of the Euro and Paradise is telling.
Maguire signed a new one-year contract with the option of a further year in April, and, as was the case last season, his end at Old Trafford is clearly imminent. Martinez’s contract situation remains the same, with 12 months remaining and a one-year option. He has fitness concerns about getting an extension and will turn 29 in the middle of next season.
De Litt also has to prove his form and fitness again. It seems inevitable that at least one of De Ligt, Martinez and Maguire will leave Old Trafford next summer, so there is a path to the Euros and heaven.
They also have a right foot to left foot balance and should have attributes that indicate they will make a good partnership. He has already made a connection off the pitch.
Heavens overcame a sticky spell to finish the season well and was superb in the win at Chelsea, but the Euros haven’t started last term as expected. United beat Real Madrid to his £52million signing in 2024, and although he is still young for a central defender, he will target a place in the strongest XI by the end of next season.
It certainly feels like there will be spots in this defence next season. Maguire and Martinez currently hold the shirts, but their grip will loosen and De Ligt, Yoro and Heaven will have chances to impress.

This line from Confucius keeps popping up again and again in writings about anger and decision-making. It is usually shared as a short warning, almost like a saying that travels faster than its original context.
The sentence is strict and doesn’t try to soften what it is saying. Confucius is often associated with ideas of discipline and restraint, and this quote is in line with that tradition.
It does not go into detailed explanations or philosophy. It simply changes and keeps the result in the same frame.
Most readers stop at tthis point becauseit seems simple at first, but the longer it lingers, the heavier its meaning becomes. It’s less about drama and more about what happens to a person internally when they decide to act on anger instead of retreating from it.
today’s thought by confucius
What is the meaning behind this statement of Confucius?
The meaning of the quote is not actually about burial or literal action. It points to the consequences, and specifically, the price that comes with vengeance.
The idea of ”two graves” is often read as a way of saying that loss is not limited to one direction. The person targeted for revenge is not the only one affected.
The person who chooses it is also harmed, sometimes in ways that are not initially obvious. This is less of a rule and more of a warning based on a pattern.
Confucius, in the way his teachings are generally understood, often leant toward restraint and steady behaviour rather than reactive sentiment.
This quote reflects that mentality. The quote shows that revenge is not a neat and tidy act that restores balance. The act creates a second layer of damage that follows the person who started it.
There is also an emotional angle hidden in it. Revenge usually begins in moments of hurt or anger. This quote quietly shifts the focus from the original injury to what happens next after the reaction. That change is where the warning sits.
Revenge is rarely limited to the first action
In real life, situations motivated by revenge go beyond the first intention. What starts as a reaction to something traumatic can turn into a chain of reactions.
One action leads to another, and soon, the original issue is no longer the only thing at play. The quote reflects that sense of expansion.
It does not describe the stages in detail, but it suggests that emotional reactions are usually unlimited. Once a person moves from emotion to action, the situation often changes shape. This moment is where the second “tomb” becomes symbolic.
This suggests that the result is not isolated. Something is moved forward and not always in a visible way. The damage is not always immediate or direct, but it builds around the decision.
emotional reaction and loss of control
At the heart of this proverb is a simple idea about control. Revenge is usually not a planned or neutral decision. It comes from emotion, often when thinking is compressed by anger or frustration.
In that moment, restraints diminish, and reactions become more immediate.Confucius’s warning fits precisely into that gap.
This does not negate the emotion. It focuses on what happens when emotion becomes unstoppable action.
The cost is not described in detail, but it is implied through the outcome. This is why this quote still appears in modern writing. It talks about situations where people act first and understand later. This structure is familiar not only in extreme cases but also in small everyday conflicts.
Modern conditions still reflect the same pattern
The idea behind the quote also appears in everyday settings, not just historical or philosophical ones. It appears in more common ways in everyday behaviour.
Conflicts in relationships, workplaces or even online spaces often follow a similar path. The response to loss can escalate rapidly.
What starts out as a single reaction can turn into a back-and-forth that was never intended in the beginning. As the exchange continues, the original issue becomes secondary.
The quote alludes to that pattern without describing it directly. This directly leads to results, where the person starting the cycle often ends up gaining more weight than expected.
This cycle does not always lead to physical consequences, but it does take an emotional toll and has long-term consequences.
Understanding this merely as moral advice misses the point
This quote is often treated as a simple moral directive against revenge, but this reading may be too narrow. The text is not just saying that revenge is wrong.
It focuses more on what it does to the person involved. Emphasis is placed on results rather than decisions. No moral label is needed to understand the process.
This serves as a description of how emotional decisions unfold over time. It also doesn’t suggest that people should ignore emotions or suppress them completely.
The issue is more about awareness before action. Once emotion becomes action, the outcome is not controlled in the same way.
