Virgin Voyages will operate its inaugural Scandinavia and the Baltics season in summer 2028. with Valiant Lady homeporting in Amsterdam for the first time.
The adults-only cruise line will offer six sailings between July and September 2028, ranging from seven to 12 nights, with 15 maiden ports. The programme includes two Western Europe voyages between Barcelona and Amsterdam, four Northern Europe sailings roundtrip from Amsterdam and an itinerary crossing the Arctic Circle.
Bookings open on August 13, 2026, at 5 AM for travel agents.
The itineraries comprise:
* Western Europe: Barcelona to Amsterdam: a 10-night voyage departing Barcelona on July 9 and calling at Casablanca, Morocco; Lisbon, Portugal (overnight); La Coruña, Spain; and Cherbourg, France, before arriving in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
* Scandinavia and Stockholm Overnight: a 12-night voyage sailing roundtrip from Amsterdam on July 19 and calling at Oslo, Norway; Copenhagen, Denmark; Gdynia (for Gdansk), Poland; Stockholm, Sweden (overnight); Warnemünde (for Berlin), Germany; and Aarhus, Denmark.
* Norwegian Fjords: a seven-night voyage sailing roundtrip from Amsterdam on July 31 and calling at Molde, Nordfjordeid, Flåm and Bergen in Norway.
* Scandinavia and Hamburg: a seven-night voyage sailing roundtrip from Amsterdam on August 7 and calling at Oslo, Norway; Copenhagen, Denmark; and Hamburg, Germany. The itinerary includes late stays in both Copenhagen and Hamburg.
* Arctic Circle and Norwegian Fjords: an 11-night voyage sailing roundtrip from Amsterdam on August 14 and calling at Bergen, Tromsø, Honningsvåg, Trondheim, Åndalsnes and Olden in Norway. Valiant Lady will cross the Arctic Circle with an onboard crossing ceremony and midnight sun deck party.
* Western Europe: Amsterdam to Barcelona: a 10-night voyage departing Amsterdam on August 25 and calling at Cherbourg, France; La Coruña, Spain; Lisbon, Portugal (overnight); and Tangier, Morocco, before arriving in Barcelona, Spain.
Summer Season Pass
Sailors (guests) can also book the four consecutive roundtrip Amsterdam voyages through Virgin Voyages’ Summer Season Pass.
The package covers the sailings departing between July 19 and August 14 and includes:
* A Central Sea Terrace cabin for two Sailors
* $15 per Sailor, per night in onboard drinks credit
* Access to dining reservations 60 days before departure
* One complimentary Shore Thing (shore excursion) per voyage, worth up to $250 per Sailor
* One complimentary Arctic Circle Discovery Excursion
* Upgraded Work From Sea Wi-Fi
* Wash-and-fold laundry service
* One sea-day Thermal Suite spa pass per voyage, per Sailor
* Priority boarding and arrangements between the four back-to-back voyages
* A private Champagne breakfast and reserved viewing area for the Arctic Circle crossing ceremony
Season Pass guests will also receive a Nordic-themed welcome package, including aquavit, Scandinavian chocolate, sea salt, an exclusive jacket, city guides or maps, a water bottle, a portable power bank and a backpack.
The Season Pass requires double occupancy across all four voyages and full payment at the time of booking. A $100 refundable deposit can be used to hold the package, with pricing to be announced on August 14.
First Mate Incentive
UK first mates (travel agents) who book their sailors on any of the six sailings will be entered into a draw to win a place on one of the voyages. Each qualifying booking gives the first mate one entry, meaning the more bookings they make, the more entries they receive.
Bookings must be logged on FirstMateLoot.co.uk. First mates will also receive double first mate loot, worth £10 for each booking to Scandinavia and the Baltic. The prize draw and double reward incentive will run from August 13 to September 30, 2026.
