Pandora Wonders Gives the Classic Pearl a Playful New Life

For decades, pearls have been the epitome of classic elegance—the string of white orbs synonymous with grace, tradition, and timeless sophistication. But what happens when one of the world’s largest jewellery brands takes this heritage material and turns it into something whimsical, almost childlike? The answer is Pandora Wonders, a new multi-year creative platform that reimagines iconic jewellery materials through a fresh, contemporary lens. And in its debut act, Pandora Wonders gives the classic pearl a playful new life in ways that are surprising, nostalgic, and utterly delightful.

A New Creative Direction for Pandora

Pandora Wonders is designed to bring fresh cultural relevance to the brand, creating new reasons for consumers to engage with Pandora’s unique world of craftsmanship and design. The platform represents a multi-year initiative where, each year, Pandora will collaborate with a leading creative talent to reinterpret a signature material through the lens of contemporary culture.

Philippa Newman, Pandora’s chief product officer, explains the vision: ‘Great design starts with great materials.’ With Pandora Wonders, we’re exploring the beauty and character of iconic jewellery materials through the eyes of leading creative voices. It’s about reimagining timeless materials in a way that feels fresh, expressive and unmistakably Pandora.”

Act I: The Harry Lambert Collaboration

The inaugural chapter of Pandora Wonders is a limited-edition freshwater pearl collection co-created with British stylist Harry Lambert, who is widely recognised for styling cultural icons including Harry Styles, Emma Corrin, and Alexander Skarsgård.

Lambert, known for his eclectic and gender-fluid approach to fashion, brought a sense of childlike wonder and nostalgia to the collection. “I’m such a fan of pearls, so I’m so thrilled to bring a renewed sense of childlike delight and nostalgia to Pandora’s unique world of charms,” Lambert says.

The Collection: 11 Whimsical Charms

The result is an imaginative lineup of 11 limited-edition dangle charms, each crafted from one-of-a-kind freshwater baroque pearls. Baroque pearls are valued for their irregular, organic shapes, meaning no two charms are identical—each piece is truly unique.

The collection includes some delightfully unexpected designs:

  • A Frog – Inspired by childhood memories of tadpoles in Lambert’s family garden
  • An Ice Cream Cone – Evoking seaside trips with his grandparents
  • A pufferfish (available in XL size)
  • A Squid
  • A Mushroom
  • A Space Rocket
  • A Heart Padlock
  • A Pea Pod
  • A Mouse
  • A Submarine

Two of the charms have been scaled up to XL proportions—the pufferfish and the frog—”both conceived at a size that makes the wearer feel like they have stumbled into something slightly surreal”, as the creative directors describe.

Craftsmanship Behind the Whimsy

While the designs are playful, the craftsmanship is serious. Each charm begins with a baroque freshwater pearl, selected for its unique shape and character. Pandora’s skilled craftspeople use a precise micro-piercing technique to create tiny openings in the pearls before hand-setting each piece and finishing it with 14K gold-plated details.

The challenge, as Lambert notes, was to “build up these characters around the pearls.” At one point, a burger was considered but ultimately discarded—”The burger doesn’t feel right, but then the ice cream cone does.” The final selections were guided by what would “bring joy” and feel “slightly odd” yet appealing.

Breaking the Rules of Pearl Jewelry

Long associated with tradition and formality, pearls have undergone a remarkable transformation recently—and Lambert has been at the forefront of this shift. Over the past decade, his work with Harry Styles has played a pivotal role in bringing pearls into the menswear conversation, transforming them from a classic staple into one of fashion’s most covetable accessories.

For Pandora Wonders, Lambert pushes the idea even further. He styles a pearl squid charm on a hoop earring and layers multiple pea-pod pendants on a single chain. “What really excites me, though, is that these charms will be added to other people’s collections,” he says. “I love the idea of these Pandora Wonders pearls disrupting a charm bracelet or complementing everything else that’s already there.”

A Parisian Debut and Immersive Experience

The immersive Café Nuances pop-up brings the Pandora Wonders collection to life in Paris.

Pandora Wonders debuted during Paris Haute Couture Week on July 7, 2026. To celebrate the launch, the brand transformed the Parisian coffee spot Café Nuances in Le Marais into an immersive four-day experience from July 8–11.

The space features a full façade takeover and bespoke interior design, with oversized elements inspired by the collection, including an enlarged mushroom display that plays with scale and perspective. Visitors can purchase the collection, enjoy custom food and beverages, and take home playful mementos like pufferfish balloons.

Availability and Pricing

The Pandora Wonders collection is available in limited quantities from July 8 in the UK, US, Australia, Germany, France, and Italy at select Pandora stores and on Pandora. net. Exclusive early access was available at Dover Street Market London from July 7.

All but two of the pieces are priced under 100 euros ($113), with the two largest charms retailing for €199 ($225). Despite the whimsical designs, the collection remains accessible luxury—a hallmark of the Pandora brand.

A Glimpse into the Future

Pandora Wonders is not a one-off collection but a long-term platform. Each year, Pandora will collaborate with a new creative talent to reinterpret a signature material through the lens of contemporary culture. Act I with Harry Lambert sets the tone: playful, nostalgic, and unafraid to challenge conventions.
